In most of the iPhone 5's pictures/mockups, there is a giant home button.. why?
 
It implies gestures and touch capabilities. Personally, I don't like the look either but we'll see.
 
In my opinion, the functionality the button brings could be there, but I doubt it'd look larger. All the cases have is a cutout for SOMETHING. Not necessarily ALL home button. It could be a normal sized home button surrounded by a touch area, which the cases have to leave exposed. Thats how I think Apple would do it, if they were to do it
