Apples new app claims 87%, running on peak performance mode and it is very noticeably faster then when it was throttled under iOS.

App?! it’s just an option within the settings for me. Is there a separate app as well for this? I thought its was planned to be included within iOS 11.3 since last December.

Settings app. Apple calls of the things apps so far as I know. You were reading too much into my comment. No extra app here.
 
100% with 2x 256GB iPhone X from 11/22/17 using wireless charging. Guess, scare from wireless charging is not true.
 
1 week after launch X - Charged every 2 days overnight from about 20-30% with stock charger. 99%

No idea if thats good or bad, but apparently its not hindering performance so whatever.

I use both wireless and wired charging. Phone is charged multiple times a day (at work, in the car, at home) as it is used heavily.

Wife’s 6: 88% Peak Performance
Both Kids 7’s: 88% Peak performance (I find it kid of odd that all of our other phones are at 88%.)
