My Apple bargain came from the Apple Retail Store where i got £300 off a brand new 15" MBP top spec! it came about when they were willing to price match an Apple Reseller and when they visited the resellers' website to confirm the price i was quoting they price matched the price without the dreaded V.A.T.

Hope he has still got a job

Free TiBook with messed up backlight and broken hinges, cost him nothing to fix as he took the hinges from an older cracked screen TiBook and fixed the backlight with some electrical tape because it was just a short circut

Just picked up another bargin today

Got a 6th Gen (i think) 80GB Ipod classic (silver) from eBay for £10.
The ad said that the file system was corrupt but it would connect to a computer. You just couldnt get any music onto it...

So got the ipod formatted it and it now works like a champ.. Have had it running for about 5 hours straight and no problems yet....

Its a bit tatty but its only for me to use in the car with an FM transmitter. I do have a touch but dont want to damage it in any way in the car...

Got a 2G iPhone in perfect condition for £100 about a year ago when they were going to £200+ on ebay.

A guy at my mum's work was selling it, did a vague look at ebay prices (but clearly didn't follow any to the finish) and said they were going for about £150 but 100 seemed more mates rates. Delighted.

I managed to get my power book g4 12 inch for under $500. When i bought my macbook pro last year, i got a free ipod touch if i got apple care with it.
