You gotta admit, until 3.0 is released (with video) Cycorder is a wonderful option.

For standard photos, the default. For videos, Qik or Cycorder.

I've toyed around with some of the alternatives but I prefer the native one. I don't really need zoom or things like that offered in other apps, I generally only use the camera to snap a quick pic here and there
