I've read many times on MR how people love Pocky. Curious of nature as i am, i've been searching all over the country to find them. So here they are, the 'other' pocky to look for if you want to try them also:

This is what you're missing:

Timtams.

The original, or Cookies'n'Cream, or Choc-Hazelnut are the best. You should be able to find these out by Pepperidge Farms (sister company of Arnott's), or as simply "Arnotts" at your local Cost Plus World Market.

Once you've had these, you'll never want an Oreo again.

1. Holy thread resurrection!

2. I know it's a -1 internetz to reply to your own post, but in my defense, see #1.

3. Don't grab the ones made by Pepperidge Farms (they sell them at Target in the US). These are NOT the same timtams! Grab the ones made by Arnott's. Those are the real deal.

In the spirit of thread resurrection... :D One of my all-time favorites is called Troika:

Layers are marzipan, nougat and strawberry covered by dark chocolate - yum! I don't think you can get it outside Norway...

Also, more generally speaking, I adore marzipan. *drools* *runs away to find delicious chocolate*

Or pretty much any chocolate between 70 and 85% cocoa.

(It's not going to be a "sweet" by most user's standards, but I'm more a salt guy.;))

I'm with you, both on the preference for dark chocolate - again, 70% upwards is really good - and on preferring salty to sweet as a taste.

But lemon sherbet, and acid drops do float my boat.....and I must confess that I quite like butterscotch, as well......

I'm a diabetic, so sweet things are pretty much off limits for me at all times, unless my blood sugar drops low.

With that said, I really enjoy circus peanuts and pretzel M&M's.
