I like the word "dude"
It just seems level headed enough to say and doesn't make you sound like you are trying to talk over someone. Kinda helps bring people (down?) to my level :)

200% less

i like things that cost 200% less.

i always see things that cost 150% less, and wonder, "how do they do that"
i put it up there with perpetual motion.

if product "A" costs $10 and product "B" costs 200% less, then exactly how much do you have to pay for product "B"?

i figure they are going to pay me $10 to take it off their hands, because 100% less would be free.

or maybe i just have 110% less brain cells than i think i have.

Oenophile. Can't get a better word than that. I also like Numinous.

(If you care to know and didn't already an Oenophile is a wine lover and something Numinous is filled with a sense of the supernatural, spirituality and divinity.)

where have the aussies been...

Chunder!

if you are on the decks of a big boat (which the early Aussies did, being convicts) and you are about to let your stomach contents loose, people don't want your vomit on the backs of their heads, so you yelled out "watch under". It eventually got shortened to Chunder

Word of the Week 1

Synergy

i think it's cool that out of the 1-2 million words in the english language, there is only one word that means this.

"The interaction of two or more agents or forces so that their combined effect is greater than the sum of their individual effects."

it's also revealing about our mindset as a species that we only have one word that means this

ps this is not an original thought: it is borrowed wholesale from R. Buckminster Fuller, or Bucky.
