I mainly use the mail app for school. I just put my full name and university ID number. Then I can just tack on my course number of the teacher I'm sending it to or erase my id# if its going to a friend or else where.
I don't want my teachers knowing I have an iPhone. Its TMI IMO.

That's what I use. Not too pretentious but explains shorter replies.

Me too, I think it useful as it explains I'm on the move whilst not bragging about what device I'm using

Sent from my iPhone

Do you think posting your mobile number is a good idea on the internet? I'd remove that if I were you, just some friendly advice... x

Maybe we could try 'Sent from my mobile', or something like that.

Yeah, I just changed it to 'Ninjahero'. Since my regular email has no signature I told my friends, if you see the ninja, its coming from the phone. So I can't check out your links that involve flash...lol

I don't have a signature at all. I think they're stupid (for email at least). I really hate the "Sent From My iPhone" one, talk about bragging.

Don

It's not bragging. It's so people know why my email is so brief and might have a spelling error or two. I do the same thing for my crackberry.

I actually like the "Sent from my iPhone" one. I don't think it's pompous at all - in this day and age, a LOT of people (At least people I know) have some kind of smartphone they use to fire off emails all the time.

My dad practically lives off his phone for his business, and uses the " -- Sent from my (name of mobile device) - please pardon any errors."

I liked the simplicity yet honesty in that, so I started using that (except mine says "Sent from my iPhone" of course). Also, this does a great job of covering me arse if I make a grammatical error.

I use the standard sent from my iPhone signature. I know some people think it's bragging but I don't care. The only people that take offense is those who don't have an iPhone then when they get one it's suddenly cool to use it. It's more my way of saying away from my computer or sent from my mobile.

I just use: Sent via Mobile

Everyone who knows me knows it's an iPhone and it's not rubbing it in all the time.

Sent from my mobile

for the same reasons as everyone else... lets people know that replies might be short and with errors, but without showing off that I have an iPhone

Don't we want to evangelize? Be proud of our iPhones - shout it from the rooftop. The more clout Apple gets, the more likely the U.S. telcom monopolies will bow to our greatness! Bhahhh...haaa...haaa...haa :apple:
