Yeah, I've always been wondering these things, and last night, it seemed like a good idea. I probably shouldn't have done so many, since Dr. Q told me not to, but people seem to like them. 😀
3G iPod for me, bought at the SoHo Store in NY. Still works like a charm, and the battery has only lost a bit of its charge, which is amazing! If a new full screen video iPod comes out, I might buy one, but I'm definitely not in a rush...
My 3G still works flawlessly. 🙂 Looks great too since I always kept it in a case. And still covered by a 4 year Best Buy warranty (or should, anyway)...so I'm not in a big rush myself to replace it till I see the 6G. It's only 10Gb but it's super easy to synch via a playlist with iTunes anyway, and I wouldn't want to have to scroll through all the artists on my full library. Plus it just looks cooler than the current versions (IMO). 😀 I still haven't gotten used to the more plasticy casing on the 5G iPods.
I've replaced the battery in the 3G and recently bought a case for it, after three years of ownership. I used Scratch Out on it recently and it looks nearly new again. 🙂
