I Took the name for my iPod from MacAddict name for their iMac mouse: "Mighty Whitey"

My 12" PowerBook is named "Columbia" because the video was streaming on an eMac when i went in to buy it...Just thought it would be fitting for a few days...

And my PowerMac's 2 hard drives are
"Xanadu" and "#2"

I though I would revive this thread rather than create a new one. I was inspired by ibookin@mwny's thread.

So

My 'puters names are Excalibur (powerbook), Camelot, (450 G4 tower), and Luke (Dual ghz tower)

Guess my real name after seeing what I named my powerbook :D

your all very weird and not very wonderful

mines iMac , nothing special

My Mac Is named Waipahu. Its a great machine, and I was born in Hawaii. When I buy my 40GB iPod, I'm going to name it "ohana" which is Hawaiian for pearl.

Now that is cool. My Debian is called "ali'i" ( a boss, chief, somebody who got the wisdome to govern a group of people :) ),
and as soon as my powerbook arives i ll call it "mana" , which describes absolute power.

P.s. Ohana means a familly, or familly member not a pearl huh?

had a PC with Darwin 1.4 on it ---
named it Darwin-Box 'cause it was a box :)

got an old Beige G3 ---
named it Apple-Box 'cause it too was a box :)

made my first purchase: a 1GHz PB ---
named it Flat-Box 'cause it is flat :D

lame but I don't care,

My HD is named 'Kick in the Pants.' My wife's boss discribed me like that because she thought I was funny... kinda had to be there I guess.

My backup hard disk is called Kirsten, as I told my girlfriend if we ever broke up, then Kirsten Dunst was my backup plan...:D

My PM is called "Zen" after the main flight computer onboard the "Liberator" spacecraft in the 1980's science fiction series "Blake's 7".

My next laptop will be called ORAC (oral response activated computer) which was a portable supercomputer in Blake's 7 which had the power to read all databases and control all other computers in the known universe.

Obvious choices, I know.:)

Much like the Powerbook in Independance Day. :D

It's been swabbed.... and wiped. Everything is clean. Beautiful. So that it slides perfectly. Nice. Everything cleaned. Oiled. So that your action is beautiful. Smooth, Charlene.

What's this computer's name?

Sir, the computer's name is Charlene, sir

I vote for idkew's choice as the most clever name so far. Short, accurate, cute, and thirst-quenching.

My dual G4 is named Gemini.

Actually, "ohana" means family. I lived in Hawaii for 7 years and it's a very commonly used expression.

"momi" is commonly used in place of pearl.

Yeah ya'll haven't you seen Lilo and Stitch?

"Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten"

It's the greatest Disney movie ever.

Coming from a Unix background in the 80s, we always wanted to come up with 'cool' names. Went through a Monty Python phase, Beer phase, junk food phase.

My harddrives on my mac are Mothra, KingKong (120 gig) and Hydra.....not great, but they work:D
