For female lead in that rock style, I would say Flyleaf is a much better choice.
I wasn't referring to only female lead. I was asking Tommorow if he/she liked Linkin Park also because he/she said that Evanescence was one of the few bands to emerge in the last 15 years that he/she could stand.

Darn. Another one of my favorites.

I can't speak to you anymore.

More fans! Yeah!

You asked for opinions didn't you?

The thread didn't ask for only fans of some mediocre band to post how amazing they think they are.

I'm surprised you've actually got negative options in the poll.

Fantastic. I'm not sure which side has more people...

8 people love them.
10 people are indifferent.
15 people hate them.
6 people haven't heard them, or if they had they didn't know who it was.

Just add addition.

I love her voice but I would love to just sit in a room and hear how she sounds. I suspect it would be a completely different experience.

Commercialized version of a concept others have down before and better. Nightwish and Epica being my favorites.

Hmm? Like?

The only one I can think of is Three Days Grace....

You have a whole world of music awaiting you young padawan. Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Jonsi, A Perfect Circle, Muse, VAST, The Cure, Stabbing Westward, Saul Williams, 30 Seconds to Mars. These are just the tip of the Iceberg when it comes to bands that I think are better than Evanescence. Don't even get me started on composers.

I used to love them with their earlier work, Fallen and all the previous EP's. Like another poster said, Fields of Innocence is an incredible song. After Fallen, it got old to me. I still enjoy listen to songs I have, but I think they went to crap after the guitarist left.

I've heard of Radiohead, A Perfect Circle Muse and 30 Seconds to Mars.

She's an incredible singer- and even though they seem to change members quite often they are still extremely talented musicians. That being said, I find them incredibly boring- talented, but boring as can be

She is. But the voice auditing does play a role. Boring as in? There songs sound the same, or their songs are boring no matter what?
