iPhone WhatsApp backup not possible

Hi,
I can't get WhatsApp to create a iCloud backup.
I always get the message that I have to try again and need to leave WhatsApp opened for the upload.
(WhatsApp is activated in iCloud!)

Is this a knows error? Any ideas what I could do?
