People don't actually need Apple's Advanced Data Protection (ADP) to end-to-end encrypt their WhatsApp chats. WhatsApp has device-side E2EE for iCloud backups. You can enable directly in the app's backup settings—meaning the data is fully encrypted before it even reaches standard iCloud storage.

Not a chance I’m using Meta for cloud backup.

Im already paying for iCloud which WhatsApp is included in. Why buy theirs!
