I’m only confused because your reply to my original comment has almost nothing to do with the comment I actually made.

You going on about WhatsApp being popular and then falsely claiming my country uses iMessage more, (I live in a European country, WhatsApp and FB Messenger are king here) has absolutely zero relation to my comment which was entirely about the users on MacRumors who feel the need to announce to the community that they won’t be using a feature or an app.
 
I just decided to do some research on most popular messaging apps and found below information from a reasonably reliable source (statista). Even in USA facebook messenger is more popular than any other messaging service.

Based on the inputs from the contributors of this group - I would have thought that iMessage is very close to being the most popular. But, it does not look like it. View attachment 2496493
As Signal isn't gathering or storing actual usage data they are not on this list. Signal only knows the number of app downloads and the number of registered users, not the actual usage. But I think that if we would have the metrics, it would be higher than Telegram at the moment.
