Whatsapp chat backup

I just can't make a chat make up on iOS beta 7. It's just stuck and it says waiting for iCloud. Any tips on how to fix this?

please help me, I need ti get to iOS 12 and I dont want to lose my whatsapp convos. Im on 13.1 and I still cant make a backup, its always stuck at 1%. Tried everything

I had the same issue, heres how I resolved it:
The problem is due to a corrupt backup file within the iCloud.
First you need to turn off the auto backup feature in WhatsApp!
Then head to Settings<Your Name<iCloud<Manage Storage<WhatsApp Messenger<Delete Data.
When done go back to WhatApp and do a manual backup!
Done!

Tried that, nothing. I end up logging in and out and trying to do a backup, untill it worked finally. Tnx

I don’t understand this functionality in the first place. There is no reason for a separate WhatsApp backup as it is being backed up by the normal iCloud backup.

Yeah but isnt that the whole phone backup? I just want clean iOS installation

Having the same issue after iOS13. Cannot seem to make a backup manually even after deleting the icloud Whatsapp backup. Want to setup my new iPhone 11 but can't until this WhatsApp issue gets resolved. Has anyone found a solution?

Whatsapp chat backups to iCloud have been failing for me too. I just deleted the iCloud backup of WhatsApp, turned off backup in WhatsApp, and turned it back on, bam done.

For the amount of $ that Facebook paid for this app... it is neglected and horrible.
