About time!!!! I’ve taken to using AI to transcribing voice messages and providing a billet point summary to save time. Some people waffle way too much!!!!

This sounds useful, even though I may not need it. I wonder how it will work in different languages.

It's already there when you pay for Premium. You can also turn off, that anybody sends you a voice messages or only special contacts can.
Which is also why Telegram will never truly take off. Don't get me wrong, it's used by those who don't trust WhatsApp, but since that proportion of people is most likely to be under 5% of the worlds' population (if not less), they are not going to make it so far by monetizing features WhatsApp offers for free.

Don't get me wrong, I actually prefer Telegram, but only a tiny fraction of my contacts use it, whereas all my contacts use WhatsApp....

Or, the sender could just use Siri to transcribe their voice to text to being with, like a normal person

I forced them by just deleting it. ;) Offered Threema, Telegram, Signal, iMessage and even Line.

Every 1-2 years when WhatsApp is changing their terms of service, there is a big wave at people who want to leave, but then they stay because of their contacts.

At the moment I don't have much contacts at all anywhere and most have an iPhone too, so I can just use iMessage.

But for private communication and more privacy I am trying now Session and maxtrix-based clients, also have Briar on my Mac and OnionShare. I only know one person from Telegram who uses the last both. But don't have any contact anywhere at the moment in one of those.

I use Telegram mostly for reading channels and having a small group in there since a few years. Sometimes I have a look in some other groups too but I don't really like to write in an open group or in commentaries.

Best thing about Telegram is the synching feature, that everything is always available everywhere except the secret chats. And you need to have a running mobile client when logged in to a browser or use a desktop version.
