It's just this. Almost everywhere else in the world, WhatsApp is the default messaging app. Whether you like Meta or not, you either use it or you become the weirdo that can't be reached.

The apostrophe is there to separate the “s” from the emoji not for grammatical reasons, it’s the same with CD, DVD, etc. Either way is fine, CDs or CD’s.
