Done a fresh install of beta 1 9.1 and whatsapp says its not working

WhatsApp is working fine for me; iOS 9.1 iPhone 6, WhatsApp version 2.12.6. I did not do a fresh install.

It worked after I updated to 9.1 but after a reset to get a clean install I got the error mentioned above upon trying to verify my number:
There is something wrong with your current version. Please go to the App Store and download the latest version'

Its not a fiz but I know a workaround.
1. Activate your ccount in some other device that supports whatsap web.
2. Go to web.whatsapp.com on your iphone.
3.press the buton that allows you to hare the page. When your scroll down you would find Request desktop site. Press it.
4. On your device in which you installed whatsapp, set up whatsapp web.
5. Now you can use whatsapp on your iphone.

Note: This is not a permanent fix.

And knowing this 20 billion dollar company, it'll take them approximately 1 year after release of iOS9 to release an update making it compatible and adding zero functionality to the app.

I advise everyone to stay clear from it and use Telegram instead.

Btw, this also applies for changing your number. Trying to change my number also requires activation, and when it is about to send the SMS, I get the error telling me to go to the App Store.

If you activate WhatsApp on 9.0, then restore to 9.1 and use your 9.0 back up instead of setting up as new iPhone what's app will be working.

I have no clue why, but whatsapp did begin activating on 9.1 with no apparent input or effort on my part. I don't know if it had to do with me activating it on an iPhone 4S running 9 beta, but some days later, when I tried activating again on 9.1, it got activated. So, whatever the bug is, it is more with whatsapp than with iOS, this time around. Knowing WhatsApp, maybe this is always the case. :D
