Hello,
Here is my problem:
I re-downloaded Whatsapp after accidentally deleting a conversation, hoping to restore my Whatsapp.
All the conversations were recovered, and there were indications that Whatsapp was downloading the restored Whatsapp media files from iCloud (e.g. videos). However, while only the videos were recovered, the images did not, only showing this:
All ? (images)
So basically, Whatsapp is unable to recover the images.
I checked my the Whatsapp app, and also iCloud, the files should be there:
I have also checked my Whatsapp file size, apparently, it's not the same as before (Previously: ~4GB, now 1.3GB... Like what I said above, I'm guessing that the images were all unable to restore, and not all videos were recovered correctly too)
Question:
Does anyone also have this problem?
Is there a solution to recover this?
Does upgrading to iOS 11 help?
This problem is similar to this discussion: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7599524?start=0&tstart=0
And it seems iOS 10 and iCloud is the version to blame.
Thanks!
