Saying WhatsApp is better is a joke. In everything Telegram is far superior: cloud based, multi devices, no need for backup, better groups, better admins tools, much more faster, doesn't eat your device space and yes it is very very secure
Correct me if I’m wrong, but telegram has no cloud backup option for secret chat messages - which are their only true end to end encrypted chats. Regular messages are not encrypted. That already puts it behind WhatsApp who is at least trying to work on a solution To transfer encrypted messages.

No need...

Just get me the iPad APP!

I would have moved to another platform years ago, if I could move all of my contact to another app....

I'm really surprised WhatsApp is both the main messaging app around the world and also E2EE. The E2EE gets in the way of practical matters like this. Maybe there are that many users who just have one phone and that's it.

Telegram should be considered broken. If you want it for convenience, fine, but if you want security, Signal is where it's at.

End to end encryption and cloud backup, pick one. Anything end to end encrypted shouldn't touch any cloud period, or that ruins the whole point of it. Don't confuse that with regular encryption, which is secure but goes through the cloud.

Anyone complaining that Telegram "Is NoT e2e By DeFaUlT" is missing the point. You want E2E, use secret chats and forget backups. You want convenience, use regular chats conveniently synced across devices with no need for restoring from any backups.

Whatsapp on the other hand is a joke, yeah have your E2E by default, but good luck if the other guy turns on cloud backups (which WA is very persistent about) and ruins the whole thing for you. It's all just marketing.

This has honestly stopped me considering switching to Android in the past. If it proves to be reliable, I am seriously considering going to Android once my trusty XR gives up the ghost, though I hope that doesn't happen for quite a while!

Any updates about this feature? I need to transfer whatsapp messages from Android to iOS. And I need to find a way to do it without using a computer.

also the ones that I found on youtube looks more like promoted videos. I’m not sure if they are reliable at all.

Bottomline, can anyone please suggest a solution please?

Wish I could be of more help, but this is the latest information I could find regarding the topic…
