Well, if it helps to get attention to the issue, it's good attention.

But when other media use "Apple this, Apple that" for a security risk even though it's not only applicable to Apple (e.g. iCloud "leaks"), it's totally clickbait and total ********. Doublestandard, just saying.

Totally agreed, by typing in certain phrases into Spotlight on my Mac I was able to find the iMessage files to pretty much all my chat logs from my ex within the last two years which I had deleted long ago.

I'm trying to delete iMessage but it doesn't show an "X"
WHY CAN'T I DELETE IMESSAGE NOW APPLE!

I guess Apple thinks a mobile phone should be able to receive SMS messages no matter what the user does. Same reason why you cannot delete the phone app.
