Also, how would you know if it’s better or worse than the competition, this comment here literally tells me that you have never used an iPad.
I've used an iPad—and quickly get frustrated at how limited the OS is, but that's why I use Android anyways. I certainly don't own one for that reason. I do reconsider every year or two when Apple releases updates that give iOS one or two features Android has had for years, but it's never been enough so far to make me switch. It's a shame, too, because Apple makes good products. I love my Mac.

This is a sad way to think about things. People just give up and think well. I don’t have privacy anyway so you can have all my information. In a way I understand it, but if you just completely lay down and give up then it’s going to get worse.

I mean I have privacy this just isn't the way I care about it. The only thing Meta can do is use it to serve me adverts and I have all adverts blocked so it's useless data for them.

Telegram is no better than WhatsApp when Apple & Google dictate what groups are censored on Telegram for it to remain available in Apple & Google App Stores.

Certain channels I was following now only display "Unfortunately this channel couldn't be displayed on your device" due to censorship. I can view them when I login to Telegram web app, but Apple & Google forced censorship on devices. Rendered Telegram useless in lots of ways as they caved in.

Signal is the last remaining privacy focussed messaging app, but hardly anyone uses it apart from criminals & Government officials, which is the same thing really.

FWIW, you can now use Teams to create your semi-private social media. Notably, if you already have a personal/family Office subscription.

It's a messaging app, what do you expect?
I don't subscribe to that view at all, unless you can say why not over wise must have access, Outlook in a way is a messaging app. Does it actually need access to my full address book? No.

Hi, Looks like it's finally available on iPad. I downloaded it today, in India. Had to link it to mobile account vis QR code - like in Mac. But at least it is an official app and it does work. Haven't used it much yet since I don't use WhatsApp much.
Is it available in other parts of the Globe? or am I part of some testing group?
