When an iPhone 6+ starts to get warm, does that mean I should stop using it?

I got a 6+ today. I installed some apps and it started to get warm so I turned it off and let it cool. Once it was cooled, I set up some email accounts and installed a few more apps and it got warm again. Is this normal? Does this mean I am overusing it and should let it cool down before continuing?

    That's perfectly normal.

The iPhone is very smart. It will do a number of things automatically if it does get too hot, including under clocking itself, dimming the screen, or even disabling the phone altogether in extreme cases.

If it gets hot enough to be disabled, you will see a warning message with a black background on the whole screen. You won't be able to use the phone at all until it cools enough. This can happen if you leave it on the dash of your car in direct hot sunlight etc. Move the phone somewhere cooler and wait it out. Turning it off should cool it faster from that point.

You should avoid letting the phone get THAT hot, but anything less than that shouldn't be an issue.
