When Apple site goes down...

    when the apple site goes down, supposedly for an update or new product, how long does it stay down for? and when exactly? All I know is latee at night, at least here on the east coast.

    It sometimes just goes down for maintenance...

    But it can be anytime and has been down for as long as 8 hours (when they were doing intl iPad prelaunch)

    Apple seem to almost use the outages as a hype builder as i'm sure they could perform product updates on the fly ... twitter etc goes mental when it goes down so it does being media focus on their site ... that 'Well be back soon' post-it note page much be one of the hardest hit when its there

    Its been down for longer then 27 minutes many times. Where did you get that figure? :confused:
