i know what you mean, but one would bne useful to put on my bike just in case it is stolen, but i lock it up so well the chance is pretty slim, but you never know.Everybody must lose more stuff than I do, I guess.
I’ve never needed a product like this and still don’t.
🤷♂️
At least you’ll know where he is for about eight hours.I pray my nephew won’t try to eat the AirTag 2
lol, I live in New York and I can tell you every person I know just throws them in the trashWhere do you live that you are "not too sure about recycling burnt batteries?" Everywhere I know has battery recycling locations available not too far away. Unless one lives in the middle of nowhere (e.g. NV), in which case one just saves up the dead batteries for the annual trip to civilization.

But I don't have an iPhone, so that idea is out.
Apple was working on an AirTag with an attachment point. However, at the very last minute, Apple had to pull this feature. It wasn’t quite ready to be a game-changer that delighted customers. More importantly, it prevented a clear upgrade path. But, not to worry, because the ALL NEW AirTag 2 is coming and Apple can’t wait to see the incredible things customers are able to do with them. What I want from Airtags is a hole. Quadrupling the size and clunkiness with some case just to be able to attach to anything is terrible design.
The AirTags are not designed to track stolen items, they're designed to find *lost* items. A subtle but important difference, especially since we had report after report of people being unwillingly tracked and stalked with AirTags when they first came out.Can someone help me understand what I think is the deal killer with AirTags. The main thing I'd like to use them for is to track stolen items. I am a photographer with expensive gear and if someone stole my bag, I'd like to track it down. But the anti-stalking loudspeaker seems to ruin the use of AirTags for that purpose. What good is it if a thief is alerted that there's an AirTag on board and can locate it by the sound it gives off? To me this makes them almost useless.
I'd like to hear how Apple will work to ensure people don't get stalked yet, I can track a stolen item. Hopefully there's a solution for this.
They could also probably make them more tamperproof that way if they can't be opened without destroying them. If not for Airtags 2, perhaps for 3?I wish they had a rechargeable battery that used the same charger as an Apple Watch. Then it could be made waterproof too.
