Yes, interesting question. Thanks for asking.

I'm going to have think about that a bit.

According to WSJ, apple just started producing iPad 2 and MBP to meet the people's demands.

MBP will probably see updates in end of february or early March. I expect iPad to be announced sometime in either mid-late march to be released early-mid April.

How long does it take for Apple to build up their stock for initial release? How long will they sit on that stock before pulling the trigger? And just where are they storing all of these new iPad's?!?!?

For some reason I always get sick right before an apple event
I have been sick right before every apple event for the last 3 years
I am sick now so that means the next iPad is coming very soon (or it might be a giant coincidence)
I have been waiting for an iPad for a year so I am getting excited

I have no idea, but I have a feeling they're not going to wait that long to announce it. I'm thinking late February-early March announcement (maybe coinciding with iOS 4.3 release) and a late March release. If they're already in production, they've got to be closing in on the announcement. I don't know, just my thoughts.

The longer they are in production the more likely a pic will be leaked which makes me think that they will be announced this month.

So you can conveniently stay home and watch the keynote liveblogs? :p

Late febuary

With the Verizon iPhone finally out of the way I see a announcement for the apple event in which the iPad 2 will be highlighted to come very soon maybe Friday or early next week, event will be around march 1st and released hopefully end of march...of course this is just my guess

Those are some good questions, I was wondering the same thing...also, how many iPad's do these manufacturer's produce per day?

...seriously, anyone know the answers to some of these?

You guys are still talking about the iPad 2 release? I'm hanging out for the announcement of the iPad 3 on the 23rd of September. Although that said I might just wait until the iPad 3S is released on 4th of March 2012. Or was it the 11th? No that can't be right....
