current status: still processing

looks like some people have ordered around the same date and have already received theirs while others are at the same stage

I ordered a fully loaded BTO 27" iMac on December 1st in the afternoon. It's still processing, and has a Dec 31 - Jan 7 delivery window with free 2-3 day shipping.

Maybe. We all are. We're all tired of waiting. You won't be bothered as soon as you have your mac. 🙂
And for the time being we all are trying to speculate and think of when we'll be able to stop coming here and actually do things with our iMacs. 😀
