When did you realise you was hooked on Apple Watch?

So I’ve come out today, without my Apple Watch.

Decided to wear my Tiffany bangle, which I love, and haven’t worn in a long time (I don’t like double wristing watches/jewellery, as I feel too overdressed.)

However, as much as I love this bangle, I already miss my Apple Watch! I keep looking at my wrist for the time, but of course it’s not there!

Question: If you sold/gave away/any other form of no longer having your Apple Watch, how long did it take for you to miss it?

For me, it happened practically immediately!

Wishing you all well.

I had my AW6 replaced by AppleCare+ back in June. Turned it in at the Apple Store, and they sent me a replacement watch via FedEx. I was without an Apple Watch for five whole days! I missed it the first time I looked at my wrist.

I missed it even more when I realized I wasn't getting any exercise credit for five days.

I know, first world problem, but still...

Between owning the S0 and S3, there were periods where I grew tired of the watch and ultimately sold it and not have an AW. Since the S4, I have worn my AW everyday; I could not imagine going a day without wearing it now as it’s one of the first things I put on when I wake up in the morning. I’m not sure what went off my head to change my mind, but it’s become an essential device for me along with my iPhone.

Late spring-early summer, 2015. I've worn watches for decades, and still have a modest collection of mechanical watches that I wore prior to that time. But I got my first Apple watch, and within a week, I looked at my perfectly fine watches and thought "but they can't do some of the things I've gotten used to".

I still appreciate them, but the utility of an Apple watch can't be beat.

I bought the S0 when it first came out, and was immediately hooked. Haven't spent a day without the watch since I put on the first one. If I ever had to send it in for a repair, I'd get another one to use while waiting for the repair to come back.

btw, what is this Tiffany bangle you are wearing?

Are you as addicted to any of your other Apple tech?

Uh... my iPad, maybe? I'm using it every minute I'm awake and in my house, other than when I'm eating or using my computer. Maybe I sometimes put it down when watching TV. So arguably, even more addicted than to my watch, lol.
Yeah when I'm at home my iPhone doesn't exist and it's major iPad usage. The watch does let me see notifications without needing to look at my iPad if I'm not on my computer.

Have had a S5, S6, and now an Ultra. Didn't think much of the S5, I thought it was just a cool little gadget that I'd use here and there, then I started closing my rings every day on my S6, and started sleep tracking with it. That's when I realized how much I love the AW. Fast forward to today with my ultra, I hate to admit it, but I am 100% reliant on it, and am absolutely addicted to it lol

Somebody gave me that, a long time ago! It's probably in my jewelry box somewhere. It's not something I'd use for everyday wear, and I haven't had a dressy occasion to wear it to in years. But it's a lovely piece of jewelry.
I wonder what they’re called?

I love it, and haven’t worn it for about a year.

It was a nice change, wearing it today.

Looks great, with the SS Apple Watch, but I don’t like anything on my right wrist.

How bizarre that you have the same piece.

Same... been wearing this daily since Series 0 release day... and I have several nice watches that now sit on a winder and barely ever get worn except maybe in the evenings.

Two previous AW versions were just OK, but when I got the AW Ultra is when I became hooked. It was as if Apple built the AW Ultra just to exactly suit me personally.

Since is put on my SE. I have always worn a watch of Fitbit but wasn’t convinced that the AW “charge every day“ was something I could get used to. I did though. Still hoping for longer battery life but I always wear a watch of some kind. These days it’s an Apple Watch.

Nice.

What display, mouse & keyboard?
Display is something my partner had hanging around -- it's somewhat smaller than the 27 inch iMac, so around 24 inches? I have an Apple USB keyboard that I don't remember where I got it from, and a Logitech trackball I absolutely love, it's so old it uses wifi to connect instead of Bluetooth. I looked for it the other day, and people are asking up to $500 for it. :D

Would you consider getting the Ultra?

I certainly am. I have small wrists but I’ll either try an Ultra 2, or open- box Ultra if the Ultra 2 isn’t a significant upgrade. I love my S8 but perhaps I can have two Apple Watches 😀. You have the Ultra right?
