Why is so tiring about the 5s? It is still a very capable device and looks beautiful.

It's probably still the most high end and premium 4 in device on the market.

I like 4 in devices too but the mass market has spoken and big screens are the focus for all manufacturers, including Apple.

I am not sure what you mean by the first part. Yes the 5S is a very capable and nice looking device, I use one every day. I am in need of an upgrade as mine is only 16GB which is not enough. So since I need to upgrade my phone to one with more memory I might as well get one with NFC capabilities, 3D Touch, 4K video capability, more ram, faster CPU & GPU processors and other up to date specs.. But I will keep using my 5S until I find another 4 inch phone that has better specs and features.

Sorry that was a typo, but you answered what I was wondering

I also Wonder how much the 16GB limitation is frustrating you more than the tech. My point was that you'd be hard pressed to find a better device right now. You are expressing frustration with it and if you want a better 4 in device then that's fine. You as a consumer have every right to expect that and expect to use the best device. I suppose my stance is that there is no superior 4in device on the market than a 5s, as long as you like iOS. It has fantastic features and is still a powerful phone.

I imagine the limited space is frustrating you more than the phone itself, and I could be wrong about that but your initial post was suggesting you'd ditch the phone (5s) unless Apple releases a new device. To what phone though? Small screened devices are not where the manufacturers are focusing their premium dollar right now and the 5s still provides the best (imo) experience one can obtain from a 4 in premium smart phone.

But bear in mind, this is a rumoured device at this point. Even if it comes to fruition there is no guarantee what the price will be and what features it will have. This list you included may or may not end up in the device. For instance, what if it doesn't have 3D Touch? I wouldn't expect it just in case the device was never designed to support. Perhaps there is no 4in device until next September anyway.

in the end tho, those who prefer 4in devices yourself included have not had an "update" in a while and I can understand where the desire comes from.

Yes the 16GB limit is frustrating but that is fixable buy getting a phone with more memory like 32 or 64GB. but if I am going to get a new phone I would like one with up to date features and specs. No I wasn't suggesting that I would ditch the 5S unless Apple released a new device. What I said is I will ditch the 5S as soon as I find a better 4 inch phone, weather it is Apple or another brand. The 5S is still a good phone but compare to the new phones released this year it is falling behind. But I still like the 5S, specifically the way it works with IOS. that's why I am still using it. I like that the OS just work, well most of the time. But I would like to upgrade the 5S with up to date features and specs in the same form factor. If I could find a new phone with everything on my list except 3D Touch I would still get it. I would like a phone with 3D Touch but it is not a deal breaker. I am more interested in phone with NFC capabilities and up to date specs and other features. Also when I say 4 inch I am willing to consider a 4.2-4.3 inch phone as well. I just about got a new 4.3 inch Sony phone the other day. It was a pretty nice phone with pretty up to date specs and features but I decided to hold off to see how this rumour panned out first. If nothing develops then I will serious consider the Sony phone. I found a new phones in the 4.2-4.3 inch size bracket and liked the Sony phones the best. But I like 5S look and IOS and would like to stay with Apple if possible.
