When does apple charge

hello everyone

does anyone know at what state of the shipping Apple are charging the credit card for iPhone order,
is it when the shipment leaves China or when it enters the US?

I was charged around 9pm EST yesterday.

They charge the CC while it’s still in China. Once they have a phone to set aside for you. Your CC will be charged and shortly after your order status will change to “preparing for shipment”

You won’t receive an official tracking number from Apple until your phone as made it into the US. Usually once they arrive in KY,Louisville.

They charge right before the ship it out. So if you see a charge, that means they have a phone reserved for you and it will be shipping out very soon.

You card should be charged just prior to shipping it from China.
