Does it begin when the order is placed, when the product ships, or when it is in my hands for the first time (delivery)?

The last option seems the most logical considering the first two have plenty of things that are out of both mine and Apple's hands in regards to how long it would take for me to actually see my laptop for the first time and know if anything needs to be done, but logic and business are sometimes two different things.

What is the correct answer here?

I have heard it starts the day it ships, which is illogical if you ask me.. but that's how it seems to be.

It starts the day it's shipped. Why I think the 2-day shipping option is worth it.

If you read the information on Apple Store website, it actually says when you receive delivery of the product.

Return and Refund Policy

If you are not satisfied with your Apple purchase of a product, please call 1-800-676-2775 for a Return Material Authorization (RMA) request within 14 calendar days of the receipt of the product

The customer service people may try to argue otherwise but it is clearly stated in the return / refund information (first sentence) on the Apple Store website.

Good eye.

Thanks for pointing out. :)
