I mean if I remember well devices sent out by Apple to reviewers are not allowed to post their review until a date. Which date is it usually ? Last year it was a few days before the phone's release day.

Last time the first review came up 3 days before release, 1 week after the announcement. So the earliest would be next Tuesday.

I still remember it because I looked up reviews that week and I remember The Verge having an early one. I checked the day it was uploaded on YouTube (9/13/16) just to make sure.

2 or 3 days before the actual release next week.

I think it's usually on the Wednesday of the release week.

"Oddly, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus have slightly smaller batteries than the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Apple says both phones should last about the same on a charge as the older models, because the A11 chip is more efficient than the A10"

FFS. Can't have the iPhone 8 embarrassing the X when it comes to battery life, can we?

I do like how all the markings were removed from the back. A logo and the words iPhone.
Small thing - which they had to get approval before removing it... but I like that.
