I was surprised to see no major reviews of iOS 12 this morning, anyone know when the embargo lifts? Or do they have to wait until Apple posts iOS 12 for download later today? Thanks.

I've only heard of an embargo on the device reviews. Can't recall one or OS.

You bet there is. The beta is technically NDA'd against formal reviews. When that NDA lifts is when the major sites can post their reviews and you will see The Verge, Engadget, CNET, The New York Times, and of course macstories.net (THE review) all post within minutes of each other.

There is no NDA on iOS anymore and there have been many 100's if not 1000's of reviews since it was launched. Here is one from June 26 and the 2ed beta/first public.

Here is a MacRumors review from July and MacRumors has probably done more than 5.

I have always like 9to5Mac's review and there have been about 10 on iOS12
