N nannakanna macrumors newbie Original poster Sep 12, 2011 #3 Thank you for the reply. Yep, it was set to do that when i insert a blank cd. But it's not blank. I changed the setting to "open in finder". It still won't open up. Any ideas that might get it to do exactly that? 🙂

D Detrius macrumors 68000 Sep 13, 2011 #4 If it's registering as blank, then you have a bad optical drive.
