I have put some files (mp3's) on my external hard drive from my pc. When I plug the hard drive into my mac at home the files don't show. I have plugged in the hard drive to my mac at work and the files do show. Why do they not show on my mac at home? please help!

When I plug my external hard drive into my mac some of the files aren't showing

right click the drive icon. at the bottom of the Info window go to sharing and permissions. check the box at the bottom to IGNORE OWNERSHIP OF THIS VOLUME. try that. you may need to unlock the LOCK in the lower right-hand corner. try that. there are also other permissions there you can change for that drive if the simple CHECK does not work.
