From the lock screen I get a missed call....swipe the missed call it goes directly to making the call with out asking for my passcode Is this normal?
I see it more as a feature than a flaw, and I was pleasantly surprised when I found it! You miss a call and can return it without having to unlock the phone (not that different from the emergency call feature). In this case, you can only return a call, and I doubt someone that took your phone would want to call someone you know... Just a thought. Now, yes, it does lessen the security of the thing a little, but it's always a tradeoff between security and usability. Personally, I like it, but I can understand if people don't... This one just boils down to perspective. It's just another reason they need to give you more options and access to customize this stuff the way you want it to work... not just the way Apple allows it. Oh well...
I am not sure I would call this a security flaw. After-all, if someone has access to your iPhone when it is locked they are not prevented from answering it. That said I would like a setting that prevents it from happening. I'm not sure if turning off notifications prevents missed call alerts. Perhaps it does. Michael
Normal because lets say your running to pick it up (its important) and you have a letter password you'd have to enter that and oops you got it wrong so try again then the phone stops ringing.
The thread is about missed call returns from the lock screen, not answering the phone while locked. I merely pointed out you certainly can do the latter (as in, we need to be able to). Michael
What is annoying is that when you do select to call back from the lock screen you can't end the call without typing in your passcode if you press the home button while on the call.
