iPad Pro When iPadOS 16 is released

I am running the beta of iPadOS 16 on my 10.5 inch iPad Pro and wondering when the official release happens, whenever that may be, what do I have to do to make the version I have the official version?

They said in October, we don’t have a precise date yet AFAIK. Usually, Apple release the major software update on the Monday following an Apple event, but I don’t know when the October Apple event will be held

You remove the beta profile in profiles and then check for software update. This will update you to the stable version, if you’re not already on the stable 16.0 release. If you are already on stable, you’ll only receive 16.x stable updates moving forward.

Tip, remove the beta profile before the release candidate/Golden Master is released (probably a week or so earlier than official release).

The GM is pretty much the same version as stable but I think it still reports as beta firmware in Settings - About.

I heard a rumor in the local apple store possibly the middle of the month

Supposed to be this month but it sounds like there is still a good number of bugs to work out. I rather they delay it and make it right first
