When is an update on MacBook Pro 13" expected?

Hey,

I am a PC user with an HP laptop Core 2 Duo 4 Gega RAM 1 GB dedicated VGA etc... Well basically I have been thinking very seriously about moving to MACs since i graduated last week, and don't really need to run much engineering applications anymore, but it turns out that 13" Mac Book Pros are just not good enough...

I think its kind off useless to pay twice as much for the same hardware am currently running right now...

I really liked the i7 stock version of MBP 15"... but i really want the 13" version.

Do you have any idea if or when Apple with release a 13" with an i7 processor and significant hardware improvements ??

i7, probably never. Apple would have used iX already if they wanted so not before Sandy Bridge in early 2011. Anyway, i3 isn't really even faster than C2D
