    Greetings,
I am new here so excuse me if there is a dedicated thread for this but I have the black macbook which came out before this current crop of macbooks. Im so tempted to just upgrade but at the same time I rather wait for the next facelift. Anyone knows when they will be replacing this generation? Thanks

Nobody knows for certain but probably not for a while. The plastic unibody Macbooks are relatively new.

Apple usually waits for some new "revolutionary" way to manufacture their laptop line. They don't have a specific schedule for major body redesigns.

That said, if your current laptop isn't meeting your needs, then now's a good time to upgrade.

no I'm joking.. you'd be best off just getting the one now since they were just updated.

The last design lasted for five years (with only minor updates), so don't expect a mayor redesign soon.
