Tomorrow (September 16th). Likely at the typical 10 AM US Pacific timeframe (or perhaps the secondary 1 PM timeframe).

Thanks. Are developers only allowed to release updates for their apps from tomorrow then?

Apple released Xcode GM 7 hours ago, and that meant they could start submitting them then. Usually there's a week between this and the public release of iOS x.0, meaning there is time for these app updates to be submitted, reviewed and released. Since that gap is non-existent, won't see any apps today using the new iOS 14 things like the new widget style.

That’s funny; my son has already been able to download iOS14 for his iPhone 6s.

I tried with mine (11 Pro Max) but iOS14 is not available yet.

I was going to start a different thread but I guess maybe it part answers why some have it. even though its the GM, for me its only available if I have the beta profile installed. having woke up this morning to find my iPhone, ipad, watch all showing update available, I thought cleaner if I delete the beta profiles as once a new OS is out I don't want to continue with beta updates. then I went into updates and none of them were showing the update. I put back the public beta profile and they appeared, installing now.

There are a lot of developers that are annoyed on Twitter by this. Saying that Apple are focussing on consumers and not the developers.

GM should have come a week before public, NOT 24 hours before. It's never been that way so why all of a sudden now? Oh let me guess, covid.

I guess it's possible that it is a 1pm PDT release. Seems unlikely but always possible.

I wonder if a delay is due to developer rebellion?

Apple usually gives a full weeks' notice for devs to reconcile their apps against a GM; even I wasn't expected iOS 14 until NEXT Wednesday.

And why not! :D I assumed somewhere is sitting there all morning waiting for the time to arrive to press POST UPDATE

Haha, I wish! I have everything on the GM (except my iPhone 11 Pro Max, which is my daily driver), but I am really picky when it comes to new OS's...so I do clean installs on everything.

I know it is not necessary, but we all have our own ways of doing things!
