I would like to purchase a full size ipad with WLAN + cellular + 32gb for my university's work. However, a new ipad air with all those features I want over my budget limit. It costs me around 750 Australian dollars...I already checked for refurbished ipad air but there aren't any.. They only have ipad 4 with 32 gb+WLAN -cellular . I will get the refurbished ipad 4 if the ipad airs aren't coming with A7 chips with 64 bit feature.. I do know the 64 bits will last me for - quite long time in the future. ..

So I am just wondering when the ipad air refurbished will mostly come out based on the past record on ipad 4?

Also, do you think I will be happy with a refurbished ipad 4.. I kinda need it straight away when the uni starts...

Thank you for your opinions in advanced !

I would not touch a refurbished ipad air....they will likely recycle all the faulty yellow screen ones....of which there are likely to be quite a number...could be hundreds if not thousands.

Don't all these iPads to the same thing? I'm sure the differences are so small it would not matter if you had the 4 or the air.

Warranty on Refurbished iPads

I too am waiting for the refurbished iPad Airs to show in Apple's inventory.
I think it's a good deal and if I am not mistaken,
1. they come with the same warranty terms of 1 year + 1 year Apple Care (optional)
2. all accessories included
3. new battery and outer body
4. new white box

Well that is what the Apple refurbished section says for the iPad 4th gen. I'm sure it'll remain the same when iPad Air is available.
If you do find a yellow tint, you can always swap it out within the warranty period.

I did google a bit and it seems the warranty terms & conditions are the same. I see no harm in going for a refurbished.

I had bought a brand new top of the line Macbook Pro 2009 model. I had to replace the screen 7 times during the warranty period (1 yr Standard+2 year Apple Care), RAM was swapped twice and the most expensive part.. the logic board was swapped once due to overheating. And I am very very careful with my gadgets, temps around my macbook pro were always 18C-23C. I guess it was a faulty piece. Kept giving me problems frequently.

My point is, refurbished or brand new... doesn't matter as long as the warranty terms are the same... and better to go for the Apple Care plan.

Have you been absent for the last couple of months or neglected to read anything on the iPad air? They are drastically different from each other. Let's see... Weight, size, processor, other processor, MIMO, speed, 64 bit.

But they do the exact same thing, right?
