Despite releasing more than 10 new products so far this year, Apple has yet to hold a traditional event with a live-streamed video in 2026.

While anything is possible, our best guess at this point is that Apple's next event will likely be its annual developers conference WWDC in June, with standalone live-streamed Apple Events this April or May currently looking improbable.

New Products in 2026 So Far

Apple kicked off 2026 by unveiling an AirTag 2 in January, along with a Black Unity Connection Braided Solo Loop for the Apple Watch.

February went by without any new Apple products.

Apple then had a busy March, unveiling the iPhone 17e, iPad Air models with the M4 chip, MacBook Air models with the M5 chip, MacBook Pro models with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, the all-new MacBook Neo, a new Studio Display, a higher-end Studio Display XDR, AirPods Max 2, and Nike Powerbeats Pro 2.

Apple also introduced new color options for select iPhone cases, Apple Watch bands, and the iPhone's Crossbody Strap. The new colors include the likes of Bright Guava, Vanilla, Soft Pink, Clementine, and Electric Lavender.

Announcement Dates

Here is when Apple announced each new product so far in 2026:
  • AirTag 2: January 26
  • Black Unity Connection Braided Solo Loop: January 26
  • iPhone 17e: March 2
  • New Accessory Colors: March 2
  • iPad Air with M4 chip: March 2
  • MacBook Air with M5 chip: March 3
  • MacBook Pro with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips: March 3
  • Studio Display (2026): March 3
  • Studio Display XDR: March 3
  • MacBook Neo: March 4
  • AirPods Max 2: March 16
  • Nike Powerbeats Pro 2: March 17

Rumored Products

Here is what to expect from Apple later this year, according to rumors.

Beyond the usual annual updates to iPhones and Apple Watches, Apple's all-new smart home hub is finally expected to launch later this year, once the more personalized version of Siri arrives. We are also expecting a foldable iPhone, a MacBook Pro with an OLED display, and long-awaited updates to the Apple TV and HomePods this year.

I’m interested in seeing difference in performance between the Mac mini with the M5 Pro compared with the Mac Studio with the M5 Max. Neither is upgradable, so expandability is no longer a consideration. I’m wondering if the mini now might suit my needs (lots of video and audio editing).

My mom needs a new base iPad really bad. I’d love for one to come out before Mother’s Day.

Mac Studio is the only product I care about for training AI models.

I'm not replacing my iPhone 13 Pro Max or iPad Pro until they make iOS far less ugly and user hostile.

I also want one before stuff like this gets super hard to get
Just speced up a BTO, and a M4 Studio with the options I'd need currently has an estimated arrival of end of August (~five months).

Didn't order it. Would hope the M5 appears before then, and if not would hate to see what hard to get on these looks like.

Yeah, I want a Studio, but really don't want to buy an M4 variant now when the M5 stuff is theoretically so close. I also want one before stuff like this gets super hard to get...
you can't even buy an m4 if you wanted to unless its a base model or used.

My thought is this: order a Studio M3 ultra OR a M4 Max 16/40 (not the 14/32 since it is shipping mid-April) now which are all saying things like "10-12 weeks" - e.g. times in July or later. If the latest update trends hold, once they announce the M5s at WWDC then either they'll update you to the equivalent (or close) M5 and you'll get it in that timeframe vs a longer one if you wait to order at WWDC. And if they don't update them which seems very, very unlikely, you just cancel the current order and re-order when they do. If you order the 256GB and they have a 512GB (or even 1024!) and you really need it, cancel and order then. Or stick with the 128GB/96GB/64GB/48GB or whatever you need.

With the M3 and M4 the number of GPU cores matters, but it matters more with the M5 for AI stuff so the extra cores could be worth it.

🙂

Well, only once Apple released the MacStudio at WWDC. Lately they are not releasing any new HW at WWDC. Why don't you consider the possibility of a release in late April or May?

With the upcoming likely introduction of the foldable form factor from Apple I wonder what hints will they drop in the iOS 27 presentation / developer beta that provides a glimpse of the new device?

But any new hardware before WWDC just seems unlikely given the release history of Apple IMHO.

In 2024 they released new HW products both in March and May
