When is the next update for the MBP?

I'd say there's a chance that in october, apple bumps the speeds slightly.

January, they were recently updated it won't be that soon.

Apple just updated them in June, barely over a month ago, they aren't going to update them again for at least 6 months.

speed wise they cant do too much to them at the moment realy, might get small bumps but i dont think we will see much change for a while. maybe thinner in 08?

a couple weeks ago i heard from a pretty reliable source that the 17" models will be getting LED backlit displays soon.

and, separately, i'd imagine that a speed bump might be coming in october/november around the time leopard is released.
