The models just got refreshed 3.5 months ago so do not expect a refresh for another 8-12 months. Feel safe to buy an iPad Pro today!

i want A11 bionic chips on ipad pro than .....
Next year then - at least in all likelihood.

What are your planned uses for the iPad that makes the A11 a requirement? I find the A10 to be more then enough, granted my uses are probably more low key then others.

Earliest will be spring of 2018....very possible we won’t see anything until fall 2018. The iPad refresh cycle seems to be growing to 1.5 years now or so.

Keep waiting. Maybe next summer. We're just 10 weeks out from the last iPad Pro release; there's no way Apple is going to try to sneak unannounced hardware in for this Xmas season.

The only way you're gonna get an ipad pro for the holiday season is if you buy one of the current ones that were released only 4 months ago. Otherwise you're going to have a long wait. New ipad pros won't be announced until spring/summer 2018 at the earliest. So buy now if you need one now. They kick butt.

I’d say realistically the earliest would be summer 2018, 12 months on from the previous release and quite possibly later in the year if Apple have gone to a longer 18 month refresh cycle for them. No real precedent for refreshes more than once per year apart from the anomaly of the iPad 3-4, and the air 2 and 12.9 Pro were both at the helm for well over a year each as the latest models.

I would not be surprised if an 18 month cycle is the norm. The iPad pros all have 4gigs of RAM, and precious few apps to truly exercise the CPUs/GPUs at this point.

Ya, it’s not about the hardware’s capability at this point, but more about it’s OS capabilities and apps that can fully take advantage of both.
