When opening mac seems to take ages to let me do anything.

When i open my MBP it takes a age for the mouse to show up on screen! i only bought it a few months back anyway i can see what process's/files are loading?

I guess you have a 5400rpm hard drive? if so consider upgrading to an SSD or Seagate Hybrid drive.

I've had it as well, working with Lion now and everything is fine. Don't know what causes it though...
