When purchasing a new MacBook, what became of your old laptop?

My 2017 MBP still works well but my new MBA M5 is just so much better and faster.
I want to keep it but want to find a purpose for it.

Some options I have come across

1) Second monitor.
2) Time Machine backup
3) Retro-emulation console

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Gift it to another family member or friend?

My old electronics tend to be too old to serve anybody and ready for the scrap heap.

#3. I kept my 2019 15" Intel MBP for macOS Mojave (it was the last Intel model to support 32-bit apps in Mojave) and for running WinXP games in Parallels 18. And just in case I ever need a "PC" I can fire up Bootcamp with Windows 10.
