Over 2 weeks since 4S came out and we see what the 3 providers are offering.

When you purchased the new 4S, did you STAY or SWITCH carrier? (Applies to first 7 questions ONLY)
If you did not or not yet get 4S, choose why.

Thanks!

Poll question:
IF you got 4S, did you change service (first 7 questions), and if no 4S yet, why?

I had an old iPhone 3G and was eligible for an upgrade for a few months. I was probably going to upgrade whether it was a 4S or 5 because the 3G was so slow. I stayed with AT&T because of price, performance and I didn't want to wait till my contract ended to switch providers.

I preordered and upgraded from a Verizon 4 to the 4S. Primarily for the 64GB, everything else was a bonus for me.

I'm disappointed with the screen size in iPhone 4S, so definitely not going to get it. iPhone 4S would have been so perfect if it has the 4 inch screen.

I wanted to give Galaxy Nexus a try, primarily attracted by the screen size. I also like to experience ICS first hand. Unfortunately, they don't have a 32GB version yet, and 16GB without a card expansion slot kills my decision.

I'm not eligible for upgrade until 11/19... going in on Thursday to try to convince them that my old phone is a piece of crap and I need to upgrade NOW. Wish me luck.

I got the 4s on the 14th. I switched to AT&T from T-Mobile. I was so glad to be done with them its not even funny. Yeah I lost my 5GB unlimited plan but their phones were absolute crap and I only have EDGE coverage with them where I live. My bill went up a tad but nothing drastic. One thing I will add is T-Mobile seemed to have really good voice quality. AT&T is not bad but I've dropped quite a few calls so far.

I had the 4 on AT&T and wasn't going to get the 4S. It's not the most compelling upgrade. AT&T sucks where I live though and I eventually decided this would be a good time to switch to Verizon.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4S: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A334 Safari/7534.48.3)

Pre-ordered the 4S and stayed with AT&T.

Your poll doesn't cover all options. I mean, I got the 4S and stayed with Verizon, for example. There are no options for anyone that got a 4S and stayed with their carrier, actually.

Upgraded both the wife's and my 4 to the 4s. Wasn't going to this time, but playing with a friends I realized the improvements were worth it.

Anyway, I sold the 4 (both of them) on Craigslist for $250 each, reserved new 4 s' after 9:00 at the local apple store, and had them both the next morning by 10:30!

Stuck with AT&T, as we are both grandfathered unlimited.

I'm very happy with AT&T.

Unhappy with iP4 Antennagate issue & tiny screen

Will wait for larger display & a phone that works.

I _know_ Apple can do it, the question is Will They ?

In the mean time I must say my SGSII is far better than I expected.

I have a upgrade in December and will just stick with AT&T. Still deciding though on the phone. I do want the 4s but the battery drain issues users seem to be having and the no 3G on/off option is a bit of a turn off for the time being. Hopefully at the least one of them is fixed by then.

Its either the 4s or the Bold 9900, but well see how AT&T does with their release of the Bold coming up. I should have the Bold now and the 4s soon if AT&T wasn't chumps on the Bold's release date.

Whatever though as long as i get off Android, not that i have anything against Android, i like my Nexus S but meh i rather go back to iOS.

What's the difference between "No, stayed with ATT" and "Not getting iPhone 4S" ?

"No, stayed with ATT" = Got iPhone 4S, but staying with AT&T

"Not getting iPhone 4S" = Not getting iPhone 4S (so what carrier is moot)

No doubt they will.

Question is when!

I guess in March.

Interesting to see many are moving to ATT, and staying with ATT.
Sprint might not be too happy at that.

Granted, very unscientific poll, still.
