When the iPhone officially goes on sale

So I'm trying to figure out how this is going to work. Are they going to release the iPhones for sale right after Steve gives his Keynote address or do you think at that point he'll let us know exactly what day to expect the iPhones for sale.

I'm guessing he will either say you can expect them on store shelves by the end of June OR have a midnight release sometime in June. I'm not sure though, just as nobody is.

..Also a fine prediction. Wow, that would suck leaving WWDC with no word of the iPhone. 'Seems like something they would do, but I really can't see how they could considering they said late June and WWDC starts June 11th. How much time really is there to announce a special event?
