For those that like the new machine, when will you buy it? At release, after a few months, or later?
I'd like to buy at release. That is when Apple computers have the highest value, because they don't drop price as the hardware ages. However, that is when the most bugs show up too. For example, I bought a new MBP 15" with TB at release, and of course the TB connector (or something) is flaky. If it is jiggled too much it will disconnect. And of course I discovered this until too late to get it fixed (plus I had already updated the RAM and disks). I bought a later MBP which has had no issues.
Plus this is a new platform so I'd like to verify it is dead silent. Finally, I believe Haswell E series is going to be released next year, which might be worth waiting for. So I'm just not sure.
