When to buy? When the update? Black Friday?

Hi, I'm getting a mbp 13", but don't know when to buy. I have been hearing speed bump updates are going to take place this year. Anyone think it's true? Also when do yall think apple will release a big update to their Macbook Pro line, January February? Last question, how big are the discounts on black friday, are these price good at "apple.com" their site too, also will I be able to use college discount with black friday discount?
