I'm about to enter college and am looking to purchase a new laptop. Whats the latest estimation on a new MBP revision?

The latest estimation? Never. That's about as late as you can get.

That rumor certainly seems to be going around, but there hasn't been a MacRumors story about the MBP in a long time! Not even a "the next MBPs will probably have Montevina processors" story, which would confirm my hopes that something is happening. As it stands, you would not know the MBP exists from the news stories - whereas we know that new screens have been ordered for the MBs for Q3 and the MBs will get LED screens in 2009. MBP news please?

I can say with integrity, closer to August than WWDC in june. Don't believe me? Well, wait and see.

I don't think it will be that close to the new school year. I'm thinking announcement in June, shipping in July.

I don't think arguing does us any good; and these repetitive threads need to stop, a mod should put a sticky up that reads "Stop posting speculative MBP thread; use SEARCH"
